Participation Book - book scans

The concepts outlined in this essay by artist and teacher Joseph Beuys, are still prominent in the present day, however only in contrast to the current neglect for the creative industry as a whole. Although still relevant do come across as very idealist and are unlikely to be realised if we are to go by the standard we see the world in today. Beuys claims that every living person has the potential to be a creative, whilst this is true, it can be argued that not every living person wants or finds it natural to be creative. Total conformity on a world wide scale takes away some diversity and can open up subjects to brain washing, a power that can be misused.
