Reflection 

These Pre-1951 public information films have a clear message about a serious topic, that contains slight elements of humour within the narration and filming. For our group project we intend to mimic a similar style of publication, and yet base the focus of our feature around a contemporary concern. This should keep the film engaging and yet informative.The amusing, light hearted ways the second half of these films have been directed enables the viewer to engage with the message without thinking to much about it whilst watching. The severity of the message differs throughout the examples selected, the Monty Python sketches are silly for the sake of entertainment and there messages are to poke fun at the public information films that came before it. Where as the other examples are deliberately warning against serious problems.
