A Blacksmith folk song

A Blacksmith

I kept the background noise in this performance so that I could retain traces on the location the song was sung in, it was important to me to be in a place I felt was relatable to the presence of the song The imagery used with this clip is of a dreamy nature, the reflective quality of the water produces a sense that I am singing through realms. Upon singing this song I felt closer to the characters presented through these lyrics. I first came across this song in a book of old folk songs I acquired from a thrift store. I taught myself the tune from the piano scores provided.
