Thinking about how images can be poetry and vise-versa, I let my emotions do the painting and ended up painting up a storm. Sometimes I find my mind produces these little play on words, showing my subconscious has a sense of humour too. Generally my usual technique for painting is to go in wholeheartedly, without a clue as to what I am painting before I have started. I chose to layer up acrylic this time, as I like the action of adding and subtracting. Taking huge chunks of paint spreading it around then working back and taking some away to achieve a happy medium. I then sit and look into the paint, seeing what hidden truths it can reveal, like a fortune teller looking into a crystal ball.
