Study - How a church Organ behaviours in a scared space - sound as sculpture
I have always thought the sound of an organ to be very grand and Gothic, due to the way the sound vibrates around the walls it creates this continuing hum, the might of the instrument makes me feel smaller in comparison to the weight of the sound. The behaviour of the sound is omnipresent as it seems to seep into every fibre of the building and completely take over the space, it is this characteristic that I would like to investigate further into.
