Echoing sounds
Echoing sounds have always been an interest of mine, particularly as a child. I would call into tunnels and be filled with delight upon hearing the sound of my own voice return to me, like an old friend coming back from a far off trip. The fun with echos has to be in the familiarity yet distortion of a sound that is by definition you, an yet at the same time not you. This mysterious sound travels around and investigates a location before travelling back to you with tell tell signs as to where its been, you must learn to recognise what the sound delays mean or if the sound comes back distorted, what that says about the physical state of a space before plotting that information down.
