Sculptures from the sea
Using a Clam shell provide a direct link to the sea, Porridge repressing the earth. By binding the two together with sting, I am creating a marriage of sea and earth. This action is creating an air of the mystic, defamiliarising the materials from there normal functions. Rubbing the 'earth' on my hands I am grounding both energies, pulling them both into my system and allowing them to soak into my skin.
