Bone Poetry - Salt Crystal - Final Photographs

Reflection

These are the final images from my bone poetry sculpture, that I have enhanced slightly with the use of an editing app. I feel this sculpture came out successfully although, the delicate nature of the piece means that it cannot be easily moved. The nature of the object is inherent of change and therefore will continue to degrade and ultimately fall apart with time. The mortality this object possesses, makes it in some sense seem alive. This factor portrays something highly relatable, as the sculpture mirrors human life as it holds onto these poetic words that are meaningful to the structural integrity of the object until it crumbles away into nothing. This concept continues to elevate the sense that it is in some ways like us.
