Reflection
This text reflects on the way artist use objects within their work, what captures my attention the most is the quotation ' it is not the objects themselves that count but the experiment' this extract sums up the stage I am at within my own practice and therefore link in well with it. However there is also some interest I have found, in the documentation of an experience and then seeing it transported into another space, this text writes about the ready-made of Duchamp, and how they have been transported from the morgue and the operating table to be displayed within a gallery setting. This seems to be a fertile experiment, that allows one to re-read the object in a different setting, with all the new connotations it has now gained form the gallery space and how that itself reads as an institution.
