The notion of exchange within sculpture
Reflection
Thinking about exchange and questioning the balance between it is, in my mind part of the fabric that holds together object and narrative. The composition and display also play a part in decoding the image, However this experiment was meant purely as a spell of meaningful play to help me work out this issue. Whilst working on these images, as I wrapped string around the smaller object there seem to be a re-balance of power, as the larger reel of string shrunk, it appeared to me that It was giving out some of its dominance. Power and mass are two things that have been seen to play on each other since the beginning of time, However it is curious to see how that balance can be given and taken away.
