Charlotte Cotton - Contextual Research text

Reflection

Through reading this text on tableau photography, I realise that the whole world around us is a living example of the tableau, however it takes a real artist to recreate those moments. By using objects that have lost there original place and function within these stills, many artist manage to resurrect the lives of these forgotten forms by presenting them in such a way as to suggest a new function. Whilst using objects found in the home makes a statement about an individuals preferences and ideas around style and taste. As the influences surrounding my practice manifest, I find there to be links to tableaux photograph beginning to sprout, which I will continue to develop and refine.
