Reflection
I conducted an experiment where I over laid a slowed down recording of a carnival theme over a poem I had written, in order to see if it would change the connotations of the poem. The results are positive, I feel like that sound leads the imaginary behind the poem to paint a picture in your mind. The rhythm of the sound guides the words to give them more power over the listener, I am still thinking about how to develop this further, although at the moment I view it as a side project to my main practice. I feel this is a health way of working as it allows me to dip into something else when I feel my mind is going round in circles too much.
