Woods walk - Primary Research

Reflection

Taking inspiration from nature is nothing new, however I find there is a wealth of content with natural world that I can draw from. What really interest me is the traces of man within natural environments, witnessing the way nature deals with this man made impact and slowly grows over it and pushes through plastic, rubber and tarmac is a testament to the really balance of power. Upon my walk, I noticed elements of craft that had been installed or carved into wood, and wondered if these instillation's we meant to be viewed as markers of man or as offering to nature? Finding objects washed up form the river, I wonder if the process of being baptised in the river has changed the energy of the object, and if so, is its past life as a can or a piece of rubber, less significant then its new life as a object birthed from the river. What will its function be now? To teach rather then to serve?
